memorystick problem
i have a problem with my memorystick. i was played yesterday cspsp 1.82 online and at some point my connection signal get lost. i exit the game and then i want to enter again but it doesn't worked.
I have a back-up achieve on my psp and i use filler to unrar it and moved the new cspsp to psp\game folder. i also renamed to cspsp 2 before i moved it to psp\game. so i have 2 version of the game now. ok, i played with the backup version, so there is no problem.
today i want to delete the unworking version and i realise that i can't do it. and strangely now it has 1.37 GB. and it looks like in the pictures below. i tried to delete from psp and windows and it doesn't work.

so, there is a program to let my delete this? or i have to format it? but I'm afraid to format it because i don't want to broke my memstick, or who knows if the bad sectors will increase from 1.37 GB to more.

my memstick has 16 GB so it will take a lot of time to bake up everything and then to copied all back to memstick. i have psp 2000 8A, and with 6.35 PRO-B2.

RE: memorystick problem
Have you checked to see if the memorystick is a fake? One way to tell is the press Triangle whilst on the memory icon and to go to information. If it says Magicate Supported then your stick is legit, if it says unknown then it's likely a fake.  Fake sticks tend to corrupt data and when formated will end up being smaller than it was originally! If it's legit then I don't know, I've never experienced anything like that before so I can only assume it's fake.

RE: memorystick problem
I would back up everything and format.  Better to have a backup and spend the time doing so than losing all your data.

Formatting shouldn't break your memory stick, and increasing the number of bad sectors would be a "good" thing, since it means that you're less likely to corrupt.

RE: memorystick problem
Yeah, that happens to me often. I've the adaptor Photofast with 2 4gb microSD, and sometimes it get on read only.
There's 2 options here.

1- Copy all you can, and format (still, sometime soon, it will do that again)
B- Turn the USB on, copy/delete/move/edit something, then get read-only. Turn USB off, Turn USB on again, copy/delete....etc etc. (this is so crappy, but works)
[ ] - Also, if you have a card reader, you can take the card off, put it in you pc, do what ever you want, put it back in the PSP, and then profit.

Spoiler:
That ABCD video in the other post messed my mind, so now I can't count noodles

RE: memorystick problem
Oh. SH*T... That file that you are trying to delete is somehow corrupts everything on your memory stick. I fudgeed up all of my save games because of something like that, just backup all your files excluding that not working version then format.

Looks like this, though the case is different but same corrupt...

RE: memorystick problem
There's fake and FAKE MS's. I've 2 UNKNOWN-BRAND microSD with the Photofast and works great. Yeah, maybe sometimes I've got to format it, but the original Sony gives me the same issues.
Also, the FAKE FAKE (yeah, double fake) MS's, sometimes overheat more. I had one when I used to plug it directly into my card reader, it melted the connectors of the card and destroyed the plastic. Almost lost my card reader.

How'd you get anything on the card at that speed?
Unless you're stuck on USB 1 for whatever reason, you should be at least getting around 1MB/s transfers.  Warning bells should've gone off if it's transferring at sub-dialup speeds, lol.
