i was told this was the place i could learn how to get firmware for my psp if you would please assist me that would be cool Madwin

The PSP wouldn't work if it didn't have firmware the first place.

Yeah, and I couldn't resist being an donkey. Hacking the PSP differs depending on your model and firmware, without you telling us those, wee can't really help you.

its the 3000 model how do i check what kinda firmware it has

In the main menu of the PSP, goto Settings then System Setting then System Information. System Software is Firmware, most people prefer to call it Firmware.

Anyway, I've been in the hacking scene since 2006 and I'm unfamiliar with hacking 3000s so I can't really help you any further now apart from directing you to a tutorial.
