Movies: Barton fink, fight club, perfume: the story of a murderer, miracle mile (one of the first movies I actually almost cried at in ages), shawshank redemption, the green mile, amereican beauty, no country for old men, Fargo, the departed, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, one flew over the cukoo's nest, pulp fiction, taxi driver, the fall, the godfather, sunshine, the big lebowski.
Books: atlas shrugged, the hobbit, the picture of Dorian gray, the war of the worlds, 1984, the stranger, frankenstein, Dracula,
if you like fantasy/lord of the rings-esque kind of stuff, id suggest the wheel of time series by robert jordan. i can honestly say its the greatest fantasy epic ive ever read, the different lore of the world sucks you in and never lets go, the regions have unique cultures, you feel as though you are thrust into the world of the story and when you put the book down, the real world feels pathetic in comparison. (warning though, its a 13 book series, and each book is nearly 1000 pages long)
Comics: watchmen, v for vendetta
Should keep you busy for a little while, ill add more later.

Only one of those I've seen is Green Mile, and I loved that movie. I recognize quite a few from the list though. I'll definitely check them all out though. I need more movies to watch.

The Hobbit is great, and I read some of Dracula, and I've been meaning to get back into it. And I've been wanting to read 1984 too.

Watchmen I absolutely lovveeeeed. (Movie wasn't so great though). V For Vendetta movie was great, so I'll have to check out the comic, as I'm sure it's much better.
Thanks for all those. :D

Quote:I'm 20 and I was a computer/electrical engineer major. I was into my third year and I had a year and a half to go.
Then 1 day as I am doing my programming homework and figuring out what the hell was wrong with my code,
I thought to myself 'spoon, i don't want to do this for the rest of my life.'
So I changed majors and now I am a proud music (vocal) education major. The point is do what you want to do in life. Cause its your life don't let anyone hold you back.
