I do use MSN. But i also use Msgplus by Patchou. Everyone has MSN so I need it too and i tried trilian once but its poo poo. I use gmail for mail though.

I still like Trillian Pro over MSN - doesn't look as neat, but there's no ads (plus uses less bandwidth :P), and WAY more options.

Gaim is a new client, and isn't bad either - though I still prefer Trillian over Gaim.  You can try that out if you want.
