As for the scene dying, I am pretty sure its dead. When more homebrew and emulators or coming to the Dreamcast instead of the PSP, that means something, lol. I am pretty sure that's what Mr Shizzy meant to say.

Vegetano1 your themes still rock.

(Everybody go to the Wii and DSi.)

Screw DSi bro.
I have a DS Lite with a CycloDS Evolution card, and I barely use it.   :/

I'll be playing my PSP until wee get 3Ds   Madwin
And then I'll still play my PSP until wee get unsigned code running on 3Ds.    ;)

Dreamcast is not getting more releases than PSP.  I was just saying that it is still getting homebrew releases here & there..    So for the die hards, PSP homebrew will live for years to come.

I still have a few PSP projects I am working on.
Not a cfw or anything.
But some homebrew games, themes ect..

The PSP scene is not what it used to be - but hell it is over a half a decade old now   :0
Part of the problem is wee can not have cfw on the new PSP systems.  And a lot of people do not have hackable PSPs.

You also have to consider what wee have for PSP cfw owners.
Wee have achieved nearly every imaginable goal.  There is not too much more to do than enjoy the fruits of our labors.

And I'm sure wee will be seeing some interesting commercial releases.

All in all, the PSP scene is not dead.  But it is an old man.
A damn rich and happy old man.   So lets just enjoy whatever good times are left for our dear old grandpa PSP    ;)

This again?

I've lost count how many times it's been called.

I'm just waiting for 3DS now ~_~

JPCSP is doing well, I wonder how long people with bother with their PSPs.

There have been better PMPs than the PSP for a long time now.

RE: Could the PSP scene be Dead?
Once I get home I will write down the site for the Dreamcast homebrew. There is was tons more then the psp at this current time. They are still making stuff, as I just downloaded newer emulators for it.

Well I guess you can screw the DSi, but mostly I meant they should try on a hardware level not a software (M3, R4i, ect.) The flash carts only work on a DS level (that I know of), not DSi enhanced or exclusive software.

As for my PSP 1001 I am not complaining at all, I love it. I just wish the scene could of lasted a while longer cause a half a year ago damn there was sweet homebrew coming out, now a lot is left unfinished.

3DS Hell ya, PSP Go hell no.

GM for PSP?!

Proceeding to spoon bricks.

I'm not worried about the PSP scene dying; for one thing, I have a several years' worth of releases to play through.

(03/08/2010 06:48 AM)Mr. Shizzy Wrote:  There are still a few things going on for the PSP, but it's end is near folks..

For commercial stuff:
- UFC 2010 - September 17. 2010
- Split Second - Q4 2010
- Madden 2011
- Kingdon Hearts - English version
- God of War - Ghost of Sparta
- SONY is still updating OFW - so maybe they will add something exciting
ect..

For Homebrew Stuff:
- Animated Themes are still being released (as far as I know - V1 is still working on V1 Update)
- I believe DaedalusX will reach near perfection (at least with the important N64 games)before the team is done
- Some cool plugins are coming  ;)
ect.. ect...

Even SEGA Dreamcast is still getting homebrew releases.  So I doubt the PSP scene will ever die completely.

Not to mention, PSP is still the most advanced handheld gaming system in the world, that is available to the public.  How else or wee going to play GTA and GOW on the road?

When 3DS is released, I believe that will be the final nail in PSP's coffin   :/

you left Monster Hunter Portable 3rd off your list of upcoming games :(
