Alrighty then, Status Update!!

Elfen Lied (rewatch) - Just finished ep 5 ~ I think I'm noticing how important the score was for EL on my 3rd watch.. it has an important influence on the story and does build it up on the emotional fronts.. still.. that doesn't change the fact Reciept was one of the harshest episodes in the story telling, with the reminiscing. But they way the story is told is done just right... the episode moved along well. I am noticing Yuka has issues though - seriously - Kouta has more on his plate.

K-ON! (rewatch) - Just finished ep 5 ~ So the girls are getting ready for the first big performance, Sawako (lol right) has been unveiled and Yui has found and lost her voice in the same episode. Mios "moe moe kyun"-ness was particularly evident in this episode.. some would call it over played.. and they are probably right.. but who cares? Wee still love her for it (not to say wee don't love the rest of her, that is ;D).
This rewatch is really stacking it up against my higher-rated Manabi Straight which as I posted in my Random Talk thread in my blog - was too sweet for even my younger sister to watch. I'm starting to question if my genre compatibility is correct now..... anyway yeah, Manabi Straight as I stated before, is better than K-on because, well, like Elfen Lied, it gets more done in less time and doesn't have to do the same thing twice.. but they happy-happy-ness of the rewatch will probably make me notch it up to 9 - if I don't get bored on the last half.

Kimi ni Todoke - Just finished ep 13 ~ ITS BACK! Thank goodness for that... and just what do wee get on its return? A Perfect Episode. While it's easy to guess what can occupy the next 11 episodes - I hope it doesn't work against KnT.. it would be a shame to spoil it since its having to keep up such a high bar of consistant quality entertainment. Pick up now if you haven't got anything better to do.

Letter Bee - Finished ep 13 ~ didn't notice this was out till a few days ago.. Mochi are my fave subbers for this series to.
Anyway, keeping it short... new story line every time, Gauche plot coming soon inevitably..... mix of pointless filler will let down this potentially magical series. Still, CGI-apart the animation is great.

Finished Elfen Lied tonight.

Again I'll keep it short.

It was interesting this time around because I noticed a lot more general flaws than before, but nothing that hurts, so it makes sense it didn't effect me the first 3 times, nor this time. I just noticed them this time.

Its the soundtrack this anime has that helps make the dramatic effect. An awful lot. And theres nothing wrong with that. Make use of all the sensory perceptions you can while you make the anime. That's what they did. And that final episode... well damn.. that just refrained me from notching it down to 9. It deserves 10 and it'll stay on 10.

Ultimately its about balance, betrayal and forgiveness. And in all three points it does a grand job of showing it.

I had to switch to Doki for the Kanon HD rewatch because the packlistings for the Kallen Zero-Raws bot is fudgeed up, cause they don't keep it up to date.

... and they have only gone up to Ep6 so I've stalled until I figure out what packet Ep7 is....

As a result of that and finishing K-ON, I'm rewatching NANA.

It only took the first episode to make you think "I wish there was more as good as this". There probably are, that I don't know of yet.. but now watching it again..

I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it as much as I did before. But its 47eps and theres a lot of memories I can't make out. (If you've seen it before, you know which details you can't forget ;p)

Anyway, 3 eps in and its just brilliant.

So other than my running watches, I saw Kobato 14.. another good episode.. and her konpeito have definitely multiplied O_o

And I'm up to Ep15 of Seto no Hanayome... which is seriously funny stuff.

I think I dropped Kobato around episode 10 or 11.
Maybe I just can't stand the "shojou themes" in it, but maybe I'll pick it up again sometime soon.
