RE: PSP Firmware (v5.50) Update soon
I think multiple sub folders should've always been there - not a big feature unless you're storing loads of music/photos (I doubt you could store loads of videos) on your MS, but it's a feature you more or less expect.
Scrolling ticker is an interesting idea, though is it much better than the current RSS feature? (IDK, don't have hotspots around here so never used it before)
Searching for games, I don't really dig it though I can see perhaps some (very few) people interested.
The web security things are optional so probably won't have too big an impact...

RE: PSP Firmware (v5.50) Update soon
meh, my thoughts on this list of new "features"....
-Information Board: meh, don't care, I'll get my info elsewhere, not from Sony's propaganda...
-Able to use PSN without PSN account: maybe the ONLY thing good in this update....however, I'm kinda suspicious about this one...it says you can BROWSE PSN without an account, but it doesn't say you can DOWNLOAD without an account....anybody else noticed this?
-Creating sub-folders: Sony, most people can use something called a PC to do that already
-Internet search for game info: seriously, who needs this??
-Trend Micro trial: no thanks, Sony, but I think I'll decide what I can browse, not you...this is ONE OF THE BIGGEST WASTES OF SPACE SONY HAS EVER PUT IN A FIRMWARE UPDATE......EVER
....oh, and don't forget the one "hidden feature": blocking the new 5.03 exploit, of course...
come on, sony, give the people what they REALLY want in a firmware update...for example:
-more memory for the OFW browser (maybe use the MS as a temporary source of extra memory??)
-more PSX support (cause I STILL can't get Battle Angel Alita to work on PSP)
and please, Sony, just give up with the whole "increased security" thing.....you haven't beat DAX yet, and you NEVER will :D :D :D
