iPoddity
This is indeed an iPoddity...

The iPod, I believe, puts together a database of the contents of the iPod_Control hidden folder, which is where Media is transferred to in a special, terribly confusing database form.

This is the oddity; I had transferred an OGG file to a Data Directory (not the iPods directories at all), E:\OMEGAFILES\DOCUMENTS\Sensei\Sensei\wk-G005-0027.ogg, and for some reason the iPod has decided to take notice of it!?

Its a 2 second audio file and it doesn't play (wouldn't think so since OGG ain't supported)

But why on earth has it took notice of such a foreign file?

Facepalm

If placing MP3s in the same directory works - it means that you could use the iPod as a flash, drag-n-drop device and not have to bother with the usual ways... hmm

RE: iPoddity
Maybe it just shows any file in that directory?
