After the Virus
So somehow i got a virus in the 2 minutes my computer was unprotected and got a bsod due to malware trying to do something, took me like 12 hours to remove it (infected system restore also) but now many things are fudgeed up like group policy's, registry, some programs crash as soon as they run, ect. I can't due a system restore cause those were also infected. So i was wondering if there was an app or some guide on how to fix all this. By the way im on vista ultimate, and they were a couple of trojans.

RE: After the Virus
Thanks boogs, that got two more malwarebytes didnt, but now i noticed i have many svchost.exe(14) now i know these are necessary but one is using around 67,000 K and most of the others are from 3,000-5,000 So this slows down the computer. Is this normal or might i have another infection?

Spoiler for what is svchost.exe?:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows...91033.mspx Wrote:What is svchost.exe?

Applies to all editions of Windows Vista.

Svchost.exe is a process on your computer that hosts, or contains, other individual services that Windows uses to perform various functions. For example, Windows Defender uses a service that is hosted by a svchost.exe process.

There can be multiple instances of svchost.exe running on your computer, with each instance containing different services. One instance of svchost.exe might host a single service for a program, and another instance might host several services related to Windows. You can use Task Manager to view which services are running under each instance of svchost.exe.
