Transferring my crap
So im finally getting my lappy tomorrow since my last order failed (damn dell), and i was wondering how i could transfer all my programs/files/poo poo(bookmarks ect) I could just reinstall everything but then I'd have to set everything up again and im too lazy. plus DLing all that poo poo would take forever. So any helps please?

for bookmarks. .

firefox lets you back them up (bookmarks»organize (CTRL+SHFT+B)» restore and backup»backup)

programs - reinstall ?

files - BURN/BACKUP TO FLASH DISK/HDD

poo poo - flush

..

or try this "migwiz.exe" .. idk if they have that on vista though

You can put a lot of that stuff on portable storage devices you have, or upload them to a file host, then download.

You're going to have to reinstall most things though.  It's possible to move things, but the methods used are not recommended, as there's many potential points where things could stuff up.

don't bother with flash drives, you'll be there forever unless you're religious about keeping your computer de-cluttered. do it over a network if you have one or use a crossover cable if you're linking the 2 computers directly. I know that the initial set-up can be a bitch but once its going its a lot quicker.
