While no discussion was made about a new PSP at E3 or anywhere for that matter, it hasn't stopped rumors of the new gen PSPs from circulating. Now someone over at PSPChina claims to have pictures of the the prototype of the new PSP.
and i actually believe that all they would have added for the PSP-3000 would be a built in microphone, 'ps3 style' home button, and smaller ring on the back.
I'm not holding my breath for any internal memory or flash, or phone capabilites.
As far as I've heard this PSP 3000 is real, but don't get excited because it will be an even more useless update than the 2000. What, it has a mic now, and that's really all it is. So yay, those of you who want to hold their psp up to their heads in a dumb way to use skype, you might want this.
What I would like to see:
- Better build quality than the 2000
- Cheaper price
- FIX THE FUCKING HOLD AND POWER BUTTON, ITS JUST STUPID
- Even better screen etc
- Longer battery life
It's all doable...
The only reason Sony will update the hardware would be either to facilitate some good business deal (like with skype for instance) which makes them money, or to make the production cheaper (which saves them money). It's like their firmware updates, they make it seem like you want them but actually it's just for their own good (to stop pirates, which earns them more money).
