Bro's just want to ask i always see this thread on a lot of forums " anime and manga" i know anime but i don't know "manga"

somebody please define it for me?

The book of anime. Usually better and is shown with pictures and words not animation. Basically it is a comic but much better.

why would you write manga in katakana? It's a natively japanese word...

basically Manga are usually light (or visual) novels. They are most easily compared to American comic books. With a few key differences. (Depending on the author or the company there are a few exceptions)
1. They are read "Backwards" or right to left
2. They often have no color (this might not be a difference to some comic books)
3. They are usually in japanese (but sometimes translated for other languages and people to enjoy)

That's about all I can think of that separates them from other books. I've never actually read one but I do seem to know about them.

manga is japanese comics based on that all known word "anime" (why its called anime? no idea)

it is japanese, but some people translate it so others can enjoy basically

anime = cartoon. that's what the word means basically. The definition is more specific but that's it in a nutshell (odd saying by the way)

And Manga = comics They're just in black and white, read left to right. The art style is usually many times better than the anime. (IMO)
