RE: XBOX dead?
i assume you let it sit and dry out for a while before using it? even if you didnt then leaving it on would have dried it out, but you were very lucky it didnt do damage.

RE: XBOX dead?
It's probably true...
To this day I still believe that was the only reason it survived.

RE: XBOX dead?
Thanks Guys this is a great start.  Hitting it sounds like a good idea to me.  I do not think it got wet.  Best story I have for that was putting my Nokia through a full washing cycle.  It still works.  Lets see a Motorola do that.

RE: XBOX dead?
well the thing is, im sure you have all heard the term water damaged. well the term is slightly misleading because the water itself doesn't damage the electronics - its the bridging of the electricity through the water that causes the damage. if an electrical device is left off and submerged in water for an extended period of time the metal circuitry would of course start to corrode but, say for example, you drop a phone in the bath (when its off) and get it out right away and put it someplace warm to let it dry, itll be fine if left for long enough. its just critical to make sure you have left it long enough. also some modern phones can keep out water for a few vital seconds - long enough for them to be saved without any damage whatsoever.
