what now? explain that a little better please? your using firefox but have the process Iexplore.exe also running? and they are taking 100meg+ of memory? if so just kill the process and if it keeps coming back hit end process tree.. if it still comes back then click start\Run and type msconfig and then go the the startup tab and uncheck everything you don't want to start up then restart the pc... if it still happens you may have a virus or most likely some kind of spyware

RE: SVCHOST???
I don't think this is the problem, but I have seen some viruses named SVCHOST.exe. It happens mostly if you have a "kernel.exe" in your boot.ini.

RE: SVCHOST???
Get something like Process Explorer NT (much better than Task Manager).

Look at the process tree.  All svchost.exe should be under the SYSTEM tree.  Typically, viruses pretending to be svchost don't fall under that tree.  If you find some, double-click them, and Process Explorer NT will show you the path to the EXE - just kill the process and delete/move the EXE.
