RE: Weird PSP issues/glitches...
I think it's hardware at the moment. I've done clean installs, etc and complete nand backups from before the issue. I get random freezes at times in the DCv8 menu, so I'm doubting it's a flash issue.
Sometimes it will crash very very often, like turn on, boot screen starts animating, then freezes, or perhaps booting into the XMB, then freezing a second later, or maybe freeze when I launch a game etc.
But I just played for like an hour and it was fine, so IDK - seems to be moody >_<

Things I know that can cause problems in a PSP:
RAM: Cory149 made an ELF to test it. I don't have a PC now so you will need to find it yourself. Searching on a PS3 sucks, sorry.
UMD: If the UMD drive is missing or not working this can cause crashing and other odd problems.
Wi-FI PCB: If you have the wrong PCB installed the sound will not work, video may have probllems, and the PSP might crash at times.
IDStorage: You can change parts of the IDS that can not be fixed with DC8 or Key Cleaner, but I really do not think that is it.
My money is on your RAM. Has the PSP ever been taken apart? If so there is a very small chance that something was not put back correctly.
Best of luck.

RE: Weird PSP issues/glitches...
Thanks for that.
Did the RAM test and it passed without issues. Never took the PSP apart, so that can't be the reason.
Have never touched ID Storage before. I did try regenerating keys with DCv8 after I started getting issues.
I dunno about the UMD drive - though UMDs seem to still work fine.

RE: Weird PSP issues/glitches...
It might just have a bad case of old then. Water damage maybe, it can a very small about of water if it gets into the correct place. Out side of that I don't know. I have seen problems in systems that just can't be explained, and all of them are problems like yours, where it's hard to explain what the root problem is so it can be fixed. A few times I have fixed them by taking it apart to get a better look, find nothing, put is back, and the damn thing works. People drop things and maybe the sysem got hit in a way that taking it apart shifts things back into place. I really have no clue to how it works, but sometimes it does.

RE: Weird PSP issues/glitches...
i have a ta-82 mobo, but every psp that i have tried to modify with a ta-81 or anyhting like that have some sort of problems, never had any problem with the others, is it posable that the 81s, are just buggy and not ment to be this high of a firmware? they where the first brand of psp i belive... try and get yourself a 82 mobo, also if this is wrong don't blame me... i sure as hell am not an expert.
