Our microwave is from the 80s, since my parents have admitted to getting it before they had me. Wee need a new one too!

Well, in the interests of stopping all the things burning, I suggest the power be cut to the microwave when you're not using it. Not only will it prevent phantom-microwaving of items, but it will even save on power. You can't lose!

lol. leave it unplugged, or always have something good smelling in there. that way, itll turn on, and your house will smell delicious. like an auto-air freshener.

here's an idea, why not microwave it? if you've seen is it a good idea to microwave when they microwave a microwave then you will see why =)

......yeah you would say something like that Tony, weren't you the one that ruined one of my plates by microwaving caramel and sugar on it....
