Guides: un-patched keys with a CWF/Fast install to M33

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How install a CFW with TA-082+ no key patching / Fix your keys

!!! By now, most downgraded PSP's should only have a patched key 5. if this is the case, skip all this. If you have more keys messed up due to an old downgrader or you played to much.!!!

!!!!The 1st rule of this guide is you must make a backup NAND image!!!!

!!!!The 2nd rule of this guide is you must make a backup NAND image!!!!

1. Keep this backup NAND image in a safe place.
2. Use Pandora to un-brick or downgrade your PSP.
3. Upgrade to 2.80.
4. Install HEN homebrew enabler.
5. Install Chilly Willy’s Key Cleaner.
6. Install Chilly Willy’s IdStorage Manager.
7. Run IdStorage Manager and make a backup of your keys and move to a safe place.
8. Do whatever is needed for you to fix your keys to be able to upgrade to 3.52 with Key Cleaner.
9. Run but do not install the 3.52 updater to see if you did everything correct, if you didn’t 3.52 should error out.
10. Run IdStorage Manager again and make a backup of your keys.
11. Use Pandora to downgrade to 1.5.
12. Install the CFW of your choice.
13. Install Dark_AleX’s custom IPL.
14. Run IdStorage Manager again and repair your keys that let you run the 3.52 updater.
15. Once again make a NAND image of your new clean CFW.

Now you have a TA-082+ with good keys and a fully working CFW.

If you only have key 5 patched

   1. Make a NAND backup.
   2. Install any CFW or 1.5 if you don't want a CFW.
   3. Install Dark_AleX’s custom IPL.
   4. Fix key 5.

The fast way to un-brick/downgrade then install M33 on any PSP

!!!If you get a bad block when creating the NAND image and don't feel safe flashing it DO NOT!!!

The fast way to un-brick/downgrade then install M33 on any PSP
   1. Downgrade to 1.5 with Pandora.
   2. Install M33 3.52 with updates.
   3. Install Dark_AleX’s custom IPL.
   4. Use Pandora to create and NAND image.
   5. Use Pandora to flash without the IDStorage option (press X) your NAND image on any PSP, doesn't matter what firmware they are running.
   6. Enter recovery menu power on R-Trigger.
   7. Run recovery EBOOT from menu.

If you do this all you need to do in pop in the battery and memory card on anyones PSP, press [] then X, and update M33. and they will have a fully working M33.

This does work, M33's firmware DOES NOT use sigchecked PRX's

The way this works for the record.

When downgrading a TA-082/TA-086 what used to be patched in the IDS, is now done by patching the IPL.

When downgrading a TA-079/TA-081 the IPL does not get the TA-082/TA-086 patch.

A TA-079/TA-081 can use the patched IPL from a TA-082/TA-068.

Please read all of the posts in said tool thread to find what is needed to help you, and all the other treads that might help you with the problem you might have.

Tools need:

KeyCleaner      ----»  http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=56265
IdStorage Manager  --»  http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=50765
Custom IPL  --»  http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=76324
2.80 HEN  --» http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=53933

Note:
Dark_AleX’s custom IPL is installed, because when installing M33 from EBOOT SCE's 1.5 IPL is flashed, and with a clean key 5 M33 will not run on TA-082+'s.
