Okay, I'm updating my previous idea. I've actually put a lot of thought into this idea, and I'm hoping that someday I could get into a position where my idea would actually be made. But, seeing as how I'm a 2d art student whose brain shuts down at even the thought of learning any sort of coding language, chances are slim. But a guy can dream, can't he? My idea's in the spoiler box
Spoiler:
Title: Still haven't come up with one
Platform: PSP
Details: First off, I've revised the original controls. They're more Syphon Filter-ish, with the analog controlling movement and the face buttons aiming, or vice versa, with the D-pad handling actions like crouching and weapon switching. As for the camera, it would be set over the main character's shoulder, but his movement would be more free, kinda like Hitman, where you can face the camera. Hold L, and the camera zooms in tight, Gears of War-style. Doing this would also bring you into the scope-view, if you have one. R, of course, handles the firing of your gun. You can hold 2 main weapons, a pistol, and two grenade types, kinda like R6: Vegas.
The kind of thing I want for the levels is something a bit more Half-Life-ish than wee've seen in most PSP games. What I mean is that you keep moving on, not going to a mission screen where you get briefed in the middle of gameplay. More adventure-y. Also, the single-player and multi-player would be on different discs, meaning that the developers would be free to make a deeper game.
This brings me to the multi-player. Since it would be on its own disc, the developers could make it a very deep experience. I'm talking big, intricate maps, a deep character customization tool, big selection of weapons, etc. Also, they could do the one thing EA did right with MOH: Heroes: using your computer as a server to host big, big matches (32 players or more)
Basically, that's my idea. Yes, it's long and very detailed, but I put a lot of thought into it.
