Gamers Against Bigotry
So, this organization has come up with the idea to "create a community that is welcoming to all". The plan is, you sign the pledge, and once they get enough people on board, the group will seek the help of developers in order to achieve their goal.
Quote:THE PLEDGE:
As a gamer, I realize I contribute to an incredibly diverse social network of gamers around the world, and that my actions have the ability to impact others. In effort to make a positive impact, and to create a community that is welcoming to all, I pledge to not use bigoted language while gaming, online and otherwise.
So, here's the problem: People who use this language aren't going to see this, and they certainly don't care for this cause, either. Who will this impact? Also, is it pointless?
