Yeah, systemrescuecd has gparted, and that's what I used to move my other partitions. I already spent (literally) an entire day moving partitions, and I really don't want to do it again (even if it's overnight). I like how my HDD is setup, and I will be using Windows extremely rarely to where it's not even worth it.

lol yeah basically.

Arch wouldn't install (partitioner was yelling about my HDD), Gentoo wouldn't boot of my flash, and Slackware is like 3453 different CDs, so I don't see how I'd get that to boot. And I think slackware is a little too 'hardcore' for me anyway.

get the dvd installer
x86: http://slackware.com/torrents/slackware-...vd.torrent
x64: http://slackware.com/torrents/slackware6...vd.torrent

heres a howto on installing from a usb http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/doku...re:usbboot (alien is a slackware god, and creates tons of ready-to-install packages for the OS, so you never have to build things yourself if you don't want to. he's also responsible for getting x64 to be able to run x86 programs by implementing a multilib environment.)

its not particularly hardcore, and its what you should lean towards if you're trying to learn the system. also, with very little work, you can get it to run at almost no resource use, and build it to what you want it to be.
