3.1 help

ok new threat time. i wilkl just be more direct. i am using dosbox with a customized loader to boot 3.1 95 and win 98 fe. 3.1 says system.ini failed no write access. and 95 is too slow to bother. 98 is 50/50. question being how to i get the 3.1 iso write access inside the VM?
