RE: PS3 rendering issues.
Anger Wrote:well my suggestions - while not perfect should help. firstly vaccum cleaner - suck all the vents except the disc one using a standard vacuum cleaner - that should clear out any dust. next thing - is your console on its side? i ask because the heat can build up more if its lying flat - mines lies side on and has no problems like that. but if you must have it lying flat then get a desk fan and aim it at the right side vents. last thing i would try, if you feel brave (brave as in possibly damaging your ps3) you could buy some thermal compound and open the machine up and repair it yourself. alternativly (and a lot safer) you could take it to a local shop and get them to do it - it may help provided damage hasn't been done. its got to be worth a try. if you decide you can fix it then good luck,as i have heard some horror stories (google is your friend). good luck.
Hmm, I'll take into consideration to putting my PS3 on the side, it probably won't fix the problem because I think it's permenate damage. But it'll probably help it from getting worse.
I'm also not brave enough in my skills to repair it maybe I'll see if I can get someone else to fix it.
