I had the exactly same problem ages ago! If and it was really annoying cause I coundnt find any solutions for it,  I think I ended up using a fresh set of default RCO and PRXs and starting from scratch and it seemed to fix it, but if you find any quicker ways to fix lemme know! maybe its something to do with alpha unfocused icon?

also I added some space to the right hand side of my pngs so yours would be 106 x 208 (canvas)

and.. in photoshop when you save as png,  go to "save for web" and select PNG24, for some reason that made my icons sharper compared to saving a normal png..  but obviously it would increase file size, for me I was using small icons so I got away with using full 24png icons Ahhyes
