How Well Does Softmod works with HDD?
Hey guys,

Well I just got a v7 PS2 for $50 from a friend. It's kinda old, the DVD drive is iffy, but it works. I did my research like I did with every other console I own and I saw the MCR exploit. Sounded easy to me enough, just buy the tools, and do the work on the computer.. No biggie. Moving on, I also saw that you can buy hdd's that could fit in the back of the PS2 where the Network Adapter should be.. Make life easier :D

So I was wondering... (If I get the hdd and just use it for music, games, and videos)

How well would the softmod exploit work with a hard drive?

Do I need to keep using the PSX Trigger to launch the exploit?

In which ways can you transfer stuff between the computer and hdd?

Does the hdd goes into the adapter slot without me having to open the PS2 or buy anything else for that matter.

Any PS2-External Device connectivity? I know that you can charge stuff via USB, and the hdd external. Anything else?

Is there any way to rip a CD/DVD directly to the hdd?

Any way to make PSX game saves actually read/save on a PS2 MCR?

I am asking a lot right?

Thanks,
