I actually remember reading about 70% or so of those in a book called "5001 amazing facts"(I think that's the right number) back in middle school. Random trivia always fascinates me.  One other that I remember was that a cow was once hanged in the Salem Witch trials for witchcraft.  There are ones I vaguely remember, such as the guy who couldn't be killed by the electric chair or hanging. I believe the noose broke twice and he was put into the electric chair twice, both unable to finish him, If I recall correctly.
