PSP ISO Video Player/Converter
Hi, basically i backed up my Final Fantasy: Advent Children UMD ages ago in ISO format but now my UMD Drve has stopped working (i think i broke it installing the clear case) but now i want to play it.  I followed loads of guides to try and play it:

1. Dump the ISO with UMD GEN
2. take the largest .mps and check with Windows media player codecs
3. use the .mps to .pmf converter
4. check with Windows media player codecs
5. use the .pmf to .avi converter
6. check with Windows media player

But following these instructions leaves me without audio!

is there a way to complie with audio or play the ISO through devhook?

RE: PSP ISO Video Player/Converter
no way to play it with devhook without a umd, anyways i think theres supposed to be an iso loader in the new firmwares so just play it like an iso if you have one of those new fw's that has an iso loader, i think and correct me if I'm wrong, but i think that m33 fw's have the iso loader so just try it

You can play video UMD's in 3.52 M33-4 and 3.71 M33-2. Just stick the Video UMD's in ms0:/ISO/VIDEO folder.

Doesn't exist to my knowledge?  But:

^ just means that the converter just sent the AVC stream through DirectShow and converted it.

If you no longer can get your original MPS files, then you've lost the audio (or get a friend to dump the UMD).  If you still have a dump of the UMD, just use that.

Converting audio from a PMF isn't exactly an easy process, primarily due to the use of a proprietary codec.

Heres what i followed:
[GUIDE] PMF to AVI Converter

But its the first step, MPS to PMF, that loses the audio, has anyone decoded UMD audio?

the file structure is as follows:

          _____PSP_GAME---SYSDIR---UPDATE---|---EBOOT.BIN
UMD---|                                                   |__PARAM.SFO

Doesn't sound like a program.  A "converter" would be a program...

So, do you have the original ISO image or not?

RE: PSP ISO Video Player/Converter
Yeah, without a UMD in the drive you can't play back Video UMD ISO's. And since I have never payed any attention to what format the Video UMD is in, I wouldn't be able to offer any suggestion as to converting your ISO, sorry.
