If you're interested http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/66101
And price of the Galaxy Nexus really tumbled over the last month - now at like $450, compared with $700+ back in January. Kinda expected it to drop a fair bit, but not this much...
Meh, should receive my Vodafone cashback, so it's $568 over 12 months. If I value the plan at $10/mo, still stacks up I guess. (actually better, since I have AU stock, and the $450 prices are from HK)

RE: Zinga's Random Chatter
Thanks, I'll look into it.
Oh yeah, did you choose and install a fibre internet plan yet?

RE: Zinga's Random Chatter
Managed to find someone to share the place with. He's apparently a WoW gamer and can't survive without internet (and he won't do wireless, in fact, he requires an ethernet connection to his computer, not that I thought WoW to be that intensive), so yeah, just signed up a plan. iiNet offering services to new customers now (woot), so got a 100GB+100GB 30Mbps plan for $80/mo, will split the cost in half with the other guy. Exetel rejected my signup - said they can only do it in May.
Hopefully set up in ~2 weeks time.
Place is pretty cool with ethernet sockets in the wall, so I'll need to wire up my router somewhere in the laundry, as that's where the optical box is, lol.

Wait, are you living by yourself now?
Because otherwise it won't be a 50/50 split....

RE: Zinga's Random Chatter
Heh, just realised that I bought the 2x 2TB drives in July/August 2010. WD warranty on *EARS drives is 2 years.
Maybe I can get a free 2TB drive.

RE: Zinga's Random Chatter
Newegg had a Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240GB SSD (one of the best 240GB SATA3 SSDs at the moment) for a bargain at US$239.
As Newegg don't ship to Australia, had to go through something like PriceUSA, but unfortunately, by the time they processed everything, it went up to US$264. Maybe it was a weekly special or something cause it seems to have been at $239 for like at least a week.
Oh well, $264+$15 shipping is still a great deal for such an awesome SSD. Cheapest 240GB here is like the Patriot Pyro 240GB from MSY at $289, which isn't as good as the Chronos Deluxe (which is probably comparable to the Patriot Wildfire 240GB, selling at >$400).

RE: Zinga's Random Chatter
...and apparently, orders over $250 require tracking, which is more $$$.
Complained to them, and they complained to Newegg, and managed to get it back down to the original $239! Woot, so I've got a 240GB SSD for AU$261 delivered!
Seems like Intel brought forward the Ivy Bridge release date, so maybe I'll upgrade in a few weeks time.
i7 3770K (currently ~$380, but hopefully will be around $330-350 when I buy it)
2x4GB DDR3 (~$50)
Asrock Z77 Extreme4 ($154)
Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240GB ($261)
Too bad none of the <$200 motherboards have 2x LAN or IEEE1394 ports >_>
Might also consider Gigabyte Z77-D3H for $129. The Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H is an absolute ripoff here - like US$190 vs AU$309.
