The irony!
Well, I was bored, so I checked out more Firefox stuff, and to my surprise, I found this:

Huh? (And yes, I know that the add-on isn't supposed to make it run faster, but still, it looks odd.)

Oh, and I'm getting a new PC, looking for anything up to around $1000. I'm gonna use it for mainly 3d rendering and modeling, and for some occasional gaming. Dell has a Phenom II X6 1090 with a HD 6670 and 8GB DDR3 RAM for $750. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Arguably, a plugin may make browsing faster but startup slower (ie increase network performance at the expense of system performance).
Though I don't know in the case above.

Well, it didn't develop those itself, so it's not like they're exactly self-harming.
Does encourage the plugin devs to try to optimise their code a bit perhaps.
