Seems a rather egoistic argument. I know plenty of assholes who don't care about taking credit. Then again, all it takes is one to write this. IMO, such confusion is inevitable when you allow such collaboration as the internet to be made. Someone will always be able to perform malicious and/or greedy actions. My point? Glad I don't have to make the call.
