1. Burn your disk to DVD
2. Backup all the stuff you need currently on your HDD
3. Turn off your computer and boot with the DVD, reformat, repartition (if you want separate partitions), install.

Ok, go to your disk management or whatever it's called inside Windows and shrink your current partition, and make a new empty one.

but i'd say buy it. it doesn't seem smart to pirate your OS. if theres one piece of software you pay for, it should be your OS (unless your OS is free, then you already win)

Assuming that Explorer and ONLY explorer is screwed up.
Very likely something else is causing it to screw up, rather than just explorer.exe itself being bad.
