Clean Flash?
I was playing with the flash 0 one day and things started to go a bit wrong As they do from time to time.
i got a semi brick so in a panic i deleated all the flash 0 folders(too lazeY or stupid to do it in recovery!) I tryed to replace with
a clean flash that i had saved just moments before but to my horror before it finished it said that there was no more space on the psp to install!
I guess what i am asking is, why if i deleted all the files could i not replace them a few seconds later?
Ever happen to anyone else?

RE: Clean Flash?
****IMPORTANT****
NEVER delete flash0! [/important]
you really should have just put the updater for what ever firmware you are/were on in the Recovery folder so that when you do recovery, you go straight back to the same firmware :P

RE: Clean Flash?
Don't ever delete your entire flash0.
Well, now that you have, try making sure the kd and vsh folders are _completely_ copied on, then try copying font followed by other folders. Leave kn to last.
Then see if you can run an updater.

RE: Clean Flash?
Yeh i managed to get it back in recovery not sure what was missing but kept getting the red screen of death! i used johny 5 to clean the rest and got back to 1.50
then 3.40 oe.I guess i was lucky that time still can't work out why it did not all fit back?
So if you delete all flash 0 Don't DO IT!!! is there still infomation or files apart from flash 1 on the psp?
I hear there are flash 2 and flash 3!!

RE: Clean Flash?
flash0 contains stuff like the 1.50 subset and recovery.
1.50 subset is required to run stuff.
flash1/2/3 are completely irrelevant here...

RE: Clean Flash?
the PRXs are loaded into memory so as long as he stayed in Recovery Mode he still had a fighting chance.
DON'T EVER DELETE FLASH0
EVER!

RE: Clean Flash?
yeh i was still in recovery, i guess it might have loaded all the stuff in kd and the vsh folders first. All the folders loaded but not all the files were in them due to lack af free space. I had to free space on johny 5 before it let me put the whole flash 0 back then down to 1.50 and back to 3.40 oe.Still it might have been quicker if i had done it right in the first place :(..Wee live and learn..
