upon doinig so on 5.50gen, it made no difference launching a 5.55 game ... obviously *but I did not brick my slim when on 5.50gen*...so now I flash to 5.00m33 and see what happens :P  and it bricks :-/  big surprise LOL

Giving an eboot that can flash some uncompressed files is no proof that you are doing anything productive.
Now if you actually had some KD files decrypted or could launch an 5.55 umd, then it would be a completely different story!

I am anxiously awaiting a release of 5.55 custom firmware and only posting what I am finding.  If you need help testing on a slim, feel free to seend me some files!  I used my own dumped index_02g.dat and i still had a brick on the slim from 5.00m33, but showed no change in 5.50gen.

I wish you the best of luck and do hope you manage to make a fully working 5.55 custom firmware, and when you do, I will have a brand new animated CTF theme ready to go for it!!!!  Until then...keep working hard!

fudge it!! they should stop posting rubish!! and post a cf when it is realy finished! you won't see DA or GEN posting before they finished there cf!!

Put it this way. If PSL release something proper; they´ll get the rep they deserve. They shouldn't draw ANY hype to something that doesn't exist. Even if it is... yet.

well i finally got to try this on my fat...wow...only 1 file actually flashed from their program LOL...so i went through and manually copied over all the files and ... no boot.  :-/  dunno what the point of this was other than that they made an installer that looks like a sony official installer...will be interesting to see what they do tomorrow.

LOL.  This thread amazes me.  I really am amazed at the amount of lamers out there.

WOOWOOOO! ! I Can't wait!!!  Going by the test files they published this mroning (which didn't inclue launching of 5.55 games) all of our 5.50 themes should work just fine as well as the plugins!!!
