i got confused, and avi won't play on the psp last time i check, but they work on my ps3

Well, I'm not sure if that AVI will play on the PSP. An AVI encoded correctly using a MJPG codec will play, this was added to 3.03.

On topic: The PSP supports AVI, VOB, PS2 ROMs whatever...  Just don't come complaining to me if you can't get it to work.
