External Monitors on a Laptop?
Ksoliek, regardless of if I sell this laptop and get one of the new Macbooks, or keep the one I have, I'm going to be getting a Cintiq 12WX soon. What I'm wondering, is there some sort of adapter I can plug in to use 2 external monitors with it? I have my 22" Acer monitor, and I don't want to have to unplug that every time I use the Cintiq.

Just in case you need the video specs, my current laptop has a GeForce 8600M GT 256MB with a Dual-Link DVI port, and the new one would have a GeForce 9400M+9600M GT 256MB with a mini-DisplayPort that supports conversion to Dual Link DVI.

RE: External Monitors on a Laptop?
I seem to remember Matrox made something called DualHead2Go. To the computer it looked like a real wide-donkey monitor. It would simply split the input between 2 monitors. This is from a while ago so I don't know if they're still available...

OK, done a quick google:

Here's a link to the official site

Here's a Newegg Link

It's available in both VGA and DVI flavors...
