I feel my splitter is screwed.  Whenever wee get a phone call, the internet connection goes haywire (usually disconnecting and reconnecting every few seconds).

Well I went to the shop, the guy gave me a new Splitter with an integrated A/B converter and now everything works^^

Just get a new one. Costs like $3. (I got mine from one of these cheap stuff shops.)

Dunno if it is the splitter though - not too big an issue - wee don't get that many phone calls.
