I heard the colour often isn't calibrated properly in those IPS Korean monitors, or something along those lines.

RE: Zinga's Random Chatter
Not off by that much, and I think there's colour profiles which fix that. Tried one, but I don't really notice any difference.
It does seem to be the brightness - turning it up, the colours look a fair bit nicer.

RE: Zinga's Random Chatter
Used the Youtube app for Android a few days ago, for the first time.
Handy application, though there's some issues in it which I find rather annoying: - In the video listing, long titles seem to get chomped. I suppose there's a bit of a layout issue, but it gets annoying if the video title is longish, and broken into parts (eg "some long donkey video title - part 10")
- Videos take ages to start. Possibly something to do with my phone (for some reason, connecting to anything seems to take a while initially, though subsequent loads are fast), though page loads take nowhere near as long. I've got a network meter, and it doesn't show much bandwidth usage whilst loading - it only gets high when the video is actually about to start.
- I like it how it goes fullscreen when you rotate the phone horizontally. What I don't like is how it always defaults to HD (720p?) mode. There isn't any setting to permanently disable this behaviour :(
- When you sleep the phone, it looses its buffer! Combined with the fact that videos take ages to start, this is a real pain.
- Switching out of the app seems to be dodgy and sometimes loses its buffer (I suppose RAM could be a thing, but I'm doubting it)
- Seeking to a part that isn't loaded seems to induce the slow start mentioned above
Otherwise the actual watching of videos was fine for me, once it actually started that is.
It's neat that you can get to a video from its URL just by searching.
