I need a new PSP battery...
alright, my PSP's battery is nearing its end, and a damn good job it's done....but I'd like to get a brand new one in the next week or so, since I'm going on vacation next month and I'll need my PSP for the long ride there...

I was looking on eBay (GASP!!!) and found this one... CLICK HERE

while a battery like that for THAT price would be nice, I'm a bit suspicious....after all, the price seems TOO low, and the extremely generic packaging really concerns me....plus, this IS eBay, and wee all know to be wary of certain PSP-related things on eBay, particularly memory sticks from Hong Kong and such....

any suggestions?

The feedback percentage is pretty good. Also the fact that this is from a power seller suggests to me that the seller seems legit. eBay don't let just anyone become a power seller... ON the other hand, after doing a quick google search I've found a few rather disgruntled customers. They're mainly people who've bought laptop lcd panels that have never materialized in their letter box...

Eh, if $6 doesn't mean that much for you, I'd probably just give it a shot.  If it doesn't work, get one from a store.

RE: I need a new PSP battery...
my recomendation is avoid ebay - i bought one from a very 'reputable' seller on ebay and it was the cheapest, needless to say i regreted it. many things were wrong with it - it couldnt be used as a pandora, it was supposed to be a 2200 mah battery yet it held less than half my old batterys charge (which wasn't great to begin with), and then i read reports of exploding batteries - it was then i said for once ill buy genuine sony and pay genuine prices. the old addage is true - you do sometimes get what you pay for. also don't discount ebay completly - i just last week got a charger and battery for 6 quid including delivery - yes it was used but it was original and holds a good charge as well, and of course the charger was a bonus.

slim batteries might still be compatible but i don't think you can pandora them that's all really, though in saying this im just reading that some people say a slim battery won't work in a phat. your best bet is a second hand games shop - say gamestation or something. i don't know what shops you may have tried but second hand could be your saviour here. its also possible that the bigger games stores can get one on order for you but it could be expensive.
