I haven't gotten any responses back yet :(

but the 'unstable version' did alot of updates and sure runs stable and smooth for me!  Not sure what's the difference, but so far so good :D

I quit using elive for the day...too many things are 'locked down' and I can't change them...

eLive eMail Wrote:Hi!

Wee wish to grant you for your help a whopping 3 bonus codes for free
downloads of Elive Gem.
You can use one code yourself, and give the others to your friends! So
that all of you can enjoy the new Elive Gem and have fun with it!
Moreover, for each of your codes shared on a Linux message-board,
mailing list, or forum, wee will grant you 2 new ones!!! (please
provide a link for verification).
Each code can be used only one time, redeem them at
http://www.elivecd.org/invitation  !!!
Remember, if you need Elive for using on educational environments please contact
us from your institutional email, and wee will be more than happy to provide you
as many free codes as you need.

Enjoy your free downloads of Elive Gem! and please send your feedback
on Elive Forum! (http://forum.elivecd.org/)

If you have time, wee propose you send an email to your favourite Linux
magazine, asking them to include Elive review or free CD in the
magazine.
More readers request this and more likely Elive would be reviewed in
the magazine instead of the "monthly-already-seen-forever-there"
reviews about Ubuntu.

Please also give a look to the development version, is the most up to
date elive available and is usually suitable for
everyone, it is free to download and install but join our google group!

Wee need testers for our development versions

If you are interested in helping please join:
http://groups.google.com/group/elive-testers
and follow the instructions on the web-pages there
Thanks

So, the first 2 lucky people will be getting one and hopefully more are to come :)  Check your PM box
