I don't think the issue is the companies not wanting to include one, but the stupid anti-nuclear hippies out there who lobby governments to make this stuff illegal.  Especially now with the nuclear "crisis" in Japan, which really is nothing more than a media frenzy to grab viewers, and whatever whoop.
I mean, there's even those who think it could be used as a portable nuclear bomb!  Seriously, who the fck would do that?

Nimtendo's awesome innovation I know.  The original NPS was said to be equivalent to the N65 in power, so it makes sense that the 4PS is comparable to the CameCube...
