[testing] 5.50X
If you don't have pandora , do not try this
G$ ---- closed
Hello;
I tried mixing 5.00 M33 and 5.50 OFW.
# Disclaimer:
# This CFW is highly experimental as it MIXes 5.00 M33 and 5.50 OFW.
# Use it at your own risk.
WHAT THIS CANNOT DO:
1. Auto sign in PSN
2. Launch isos which requires 5.05.
Features:
1. Web search of the titles of games.
2. You can refer to sub-folders of media.
Instruction:
0. Install 5.00 M33 on your PSP.
1. Boot recovery mode and "Toggle USB (flash0)".
2. Unpack this archive (except readme.txt) to flash0:/
3. Done. Your PSP is now 5.50X.
Notes:
1. Maybe you cannot use 1seg (Please use 5.00 from Time machine!).
2. Freezes if you refer to battery info. Use some plugins to check battery (PSP-HUD recommended).
3. Web browser / PSN modules are that of 5.00.
4. As PSN mods are old, OSK is also that of 5.00.
5. game mods are also old to launch POPS.
References: ......
files removed,. maybe you should first try and see wich files are only needed,.. before posting all files!

RE: PSP Custom Firmware 5.50X
I'll check it out... I'm skeptical though...
I've looked in your package, it looks as if you have added the ENTIRE resource and module folders from 5.50. Certainly, many of those files are unneeded.
Have you actually tested this yourself ??

RE: PSP Custom Firmware 5.50X
Actually this is the copy of my flash0, so unneeded 5.50 prx might be contained...
And please note this is highly experimental...
>>Mr. Shizzy
I've launched some ISO/POPS/Homebrews...

RE: PSP Custom Firmware 5.50X
All right, then I'll take a difference between 5.00 M33 and 5.50 OFW and pack only changed files again.
Oh, I forgot one thing. I'm planning to support only Silms, so do not install on Fats.
Until then use following for whom cannot wait.

I've gone through the list and only copied ones that have been changed and it still fails...don't see how you would possibly have this working.

RE: PSP Custom Firmware 5.50X
THis will never boot because vshmain is not decompressed/decrypted/sign check removed...
It MAY work on Rain's psp because the signing matches his idstorage keys, but won't work on anyone elses as it sits.
\
GAME* headers are PSP
HTML* headers are PSP
NET* headers are PSP
N P* headers are PSP
One* headers are PSP
OSK* headers are PSP
PSN_Plugin header is PSP
Recovery header is PSP (May still work since not a sony file)
Satelite header is PSP (May still work since not a sony file)
store* headers are PSP
SKYPE* headers are PSP
STORE* headers are PSP
UPDATE_PLUGIN header is PSP
VSHMAIN headers are PSPYOUR
So having all of those files PROBABLY coming from Rain's flash0 will yield a stoned psp that will not boot...mostly caused by the vshmain

RE: [testing] 5.50X
All this will lead to really unstable system ,
its not recommended to try it unless you have pandora.
Edit : Moved off front Page
@Rain , wee already tried this before for 3XX firmware , and it didnt work ...
Me and Organ wee was playing with this , and like i said it leads to unstable system.
Thread Closed. A curious name you have chosen RAIN , old Mk Player.
