Quote:Got a Wii? Then boot up the Wii Shop and download the just-released Nintendo Channel so you can get your DS demos! The new channel also features several videos, including game trailers. Wee watched the Professor Layton information video, which did an excellent job of showing off the puzzling adventure. From that video, users can navigate to a screen with more information, just as game rating -- and a "purchase" button, which redirects to a page in the Internet Channel with links to Amazon, Circuit City, and Best Buy, so that you can order the game from the comfort of your own sofa. Not a bad idea!

Of course, what wee're really interested in are the DS demos. It's about time wee got some useful Wii-DS connectivity. The list of currently-available demos is short, packed with already-released games, and not particularly exciting, but wee hope that will change with time. There's a lot of variety, if nothing else. DS demos from the Wii are just like any other: once downloaded, the demo stays until you turn off your handheld. Closing the DS without turning it off will not affect your demo.

Skip past the break to see the full list of available demos, including the very excellent Ninja Gaiden.

Eh, I doubt I'll use it, unless there is some insane amount of boredom going on for me, but thought I'd still give you guys a heads up.
don't have a ds lol
but atleast nintendo are trying to be innovative
except theyre not really

Sony have been doing this with the PSP since the store came out

Im no Sony fanboy, i prefer nintendos stance of gaming atm really, but its hardly innovative
I just sold my DS a few weeks back, oh well wouldnt have used this anyway.
nor me, i have all the demos i need

I love my DS though, NGDS is awesome, as is DQMJ, and the new DQ games will hopefully be good
I really never use my DS.  I think the only game I will play on my DS any time soon is Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2.  That's it.  Don't know if I'll play another for another year.  I don't feel like putting the time or effort into downloading and trying the demos.  But again, felt it was worth making the thread. I know a good number of EPers have a DS too, and maybe SOME would find it useful.
I find it almost funny considering at one point quite a large portion of DS buyers were raving about it so much... haha

This is useful for the legitimate peoples I suppose ^_^
