Yeah, do the system restore. And whoever said that turning it off from the back while the game was running is probably right. And, if worst comes to worst, you can send it in to Sony and get it fixed. They have MUCH better repair service than ANY other console manufacturer. Hell, when I sent my PSP in last year, I sent it on a Monday, got it back on a Friday.
Hope you can remedy this situation, as I want to play some MGO with you in June when I get mine

lol that sucks i paid for gta4 in full too :P without a ps3 yet,lol well im gonna buy one that day anywayz, I'm gonna have to settle for that spoon donkey 40gig >:(

Yep. It might take a bit longer for ou given that yours is a PS3, not a PSP, but they do try to be good to customers. I think you file a report, they send you a box, you send it back, and then they send it back once it's fixed. And since there's only like a .2% failure rate on PS3's, there probably won't be too long of a wait, as opposed to the 30% failure rate on 360's, with it taking 4-6 weeks to get it back lol.

DON'T. Wait until June 12. You may have to wait a bit longer, but you get MGS4 with it, and you get a DualShock 3. If you really have to buy a PS3, though, I suggest getting a 60GB or 80GB online. The 40GB's are poo poo.

that sucks shady, sony support people are a bunch of idiots whoo sit there and read off a computer, they should just get a computer to do it.
on a side note, sony UK has the best repair service. when i bricked my psp i rang up and told them it died whilst i was upgrading between firmwares (pretended it was an official firmware) and the next day a courier service was there with a new psp. they opened the box infront of me, give me the new psp and charger, and took my old psp and charger.
wee don't have to send our units off over here, they come and pick them up and trade it on the spot.

Yeah, mine end the same day.....Damn I hate being in High School. I graduate on May 30, but I still have to take my ACT on June 14. I'm still getting the MGS4/PS3 bundle on the 12th though.

something must have happened that shouldn't have happened then. maybe it's a small circuit problem that's stopping the laser from working properly. ask your cousin if there was a power cut when he played it.
