alright, i was going to put some stuff on my PSP when my computer said that a folder on my portable hard drive was corrupted...the folder that had the stuff i needed

so, i ran a chkdsk on the portable hard drive using the command prompt....it found the corrupted files/folders and said it was recovering them....but now those files are not there...

is there anyway to recover my stuff (and please tell me there is, because if there isn't, then it means i lost every psp game and movie i had...except for those on my memory sticks) and if so, how?
I think you have to do something with the .chk file within /FOUND.000 on the root of your hdd. (It's hidden)
I think there are some programs that claim they can recover deleted/corrupted files.

Happened to me before. I formatted my HDD without backing things up. :o

Well I am sure you can find them

I haven't actually used any, I just saw them a couple of times.
USe Acronis Disk recovery... google it
Just be aware that those recovery tools can't guarantee anything - though it might work.  Typically larger files are harder to recover (since there's a higher chance the sectors corrupt, and/or something overwrites them), however, I guess it's the effort though.

Try to make backups of those things (blank DVDs are really cheap).  I learnt pretty quickly after a few USB drives started dying on me...
