Ha. The future? Only Vista I saw that was good enough for a future was Basic. (Yeh, on a 512mb ram setup) By time Vista gets into shape, Vienna will be out.. lol

XP will be supported up to 2010...

The Future is Now, and its Not Vista, yet.

My bestfriend has vista basic and it fudgeed up his computer. Im gonna update his pc to sp3 today most likely

seriously.. despite all the cock and bull about Vista, I have not once managed to run into a problem yet. One thing I did notice is that the people who do get horrid experiences with Vista (or for that matter, any new OS) are those who find it hard to break out of the shell and adapt. Think back, when XP came out, people were reluctant to migrate from 98. Windows user die when faced with an Linux based machine!

Vista looks awesome.. if not, why would people any length to make XP look like Vista? If you know how to tweak it, its a damn potent OS. Actually, its the best OS ever made by MS imo, as it allows me to challenge the hidden custom settings. Something closer to Linux (which I love). XP is a baby's OS compared to Linux. Vista, because of its policies and re-routings, is tough to those who have grown far to accustomed to the ease of XP.

Vienna? Lol! Vista was supposed to be out around 2 years before it was actually released! MS has invested a lot in Vista! no way are they gonna let go down like that. By the way.. XP will be supported till 2014, so XP lover have no issues!

Well, in general, I have no hassles with any OS, as sooner or later, I'll make it a point to learn how to make it my own!

I dislike Vista, but its not a Vista issue itself, more of a problem with it being put on a machine that's not strong enough for it, with no alternative offered
