i assume you let it sit and dry out for a while before using it? even if you didnt then leaving it on would have dried it out, but you were very lucky it didnt do damage.
meh...maybe that tv was older than dirt though
heh they don't make em like they used to eh? lol old stuff is bullet proof.
It's probably true...
To this day I still believe that was the only reason it survived.
Thanks Guys this is a great start. Hitting it sounds like a good idea to me. I do not think it got wet. Best story I have for that was putting my Nokia through a full washing cycle. It still works. Lets see a Motorola do that.
LaneLander
lol im surprised it still works
well the thing is, im sure you have all heard the term water damaged. well the term is slightly misleading because the water itself doesn't damage the electronics - its the bridging of the electricity through the water that causes the damage. if an electrical device is left off and submerged in water for an extended period of time the metal circuitry would of course start to corrode but, say for example, you drop a phone in the bath (when its off) and get it out right away and put it someplace warm to let it dry, itll be fine if left for long enough. its just critical to make sure you have left it long enough. also some modern phones can keep out water for a few vital seconds - long enough for them to be saved without any damage whatsoever.
have you ever dropped it?
I had an old ipod mini water damaged while charging, and every once in a while the screen will flash Grey, but it doesn't make sound or anything, still have the 4gb hdd if anyone knows anything cool to do with it.
