I have one or two music concert DVDRips on my comp but I noticed the Guitar is awfully muffled by the Singer and Bass..

Is there a way to make the Guitar louder/clearer?

[I didn't know which section to post it in >_<]

Well since it's about audio I guess it should be in music.

Moving now if you want to move back go ahead.
wll if their dvdrips, then i would assume that the are avi's or some other common format, the depending on what program you are using you can play with the sound settings, I'm at work so I'm not too sure about this but, i think in quicktime you get an equalizer and you can mess with that to get the right sound, i know definetly on itunes, you can watch videos there, and you can use an equalizer there for sure, just look for an equalizer in whatever program you're using, most should have one, and just lower the base and up the trebble, and play with the settings, find the sound you want
A number of things you could do with SoundForge:
- As said above, equalizer may help
- Try doing vocal cuts (reverse channel mix / remove center material)
- Fiddle around with other effects :P
so what did you try? did it work tell us!
Is there external Equalizers that work with any app that outputs audio?

VLC only has presets..
ffdshow has an adjustable equalizer, so if you use something like MPC (and direct the audio through ffdshow) you can try that...

Though, it's probably better to edit the audio stream in a sound editor.  What is it - is it an AVI?  If so, just demux the audio stream with VirtualDub Mod.
