Congratulations on building your own castle. ;-)

I'm a little worried though, as to me the materials used look a little fragile tosay the least. Then again, I suppose I'm more of a granite and heavy timber kind of guy. Do you live in a place that has severe weather? I'm thinking tornadoes and the likes.
How about angry mobs? Let me tell you, nothing stops an angry mob like a good wall of carved granite stone, or a porticullis made of thick royal oak timbers.

nice progress so far... hope it all gets done on time!! two months or so remaining... im moving in!!! LOL

Different houses take different amounts of times to build. Here it's about 3-6 months usually.


For the price though I can say with confidence that building is more expensive. You have to hire an architect, buy all the materials, etc. ..

i disagree building is defo cheaper and think about it y would someone build a house and sell it @ a loss??? people dnt do that they make money so building is defo cheaper, it is here n e way!

also  i taut building in USA n all was alot different than ireland but it looks about the same, except the style of house that is!
also in ireland most houses are built from these bastards:

instead of timber, damn i hate workin on buildin sites lol :(
