Does anyone know what the best program to create AMVs is?

Create AMVs?  It's basically video editing, I'd say.

Never made one myself, so have no experience, but probably any program which you feel comfortable with, for video editing.

Windows Movie Maker is a really simple/basic editor.  If you need something powerful, look into Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere.

I know how Movie Maker works, but it uses the fudgein dull WMV format, and is very limited.

I've tried Premiere, and had no fudgeing clue where to start xD

amvs arent hard to make in theory.. actually doing it is another story...  ive used premier alot so id recommend that but get what ever your comfortable with.... if you need help with how to use the program just ask..... you just load all your clips and the song into the program and fit it all on the time line so it works well together....  it takes a bit of time to do a good job... if you want the song to go with the the characters mouth flaps and what not, your gonna have to write down timing for every lyric in the song... timing takes well time.. unless you just plan to string a bunch of fight scenes together with a song in the back which is what most people do....
