how about using an older version on utorrent?
the first torrent client i tried was bittorent and i never was able to download anything with it. so i hated torrents. then i went to azureus. i could finally download with it but one day a download stopped and never ever finished...i had some part downloaded and i found out about utorrent so i tried downloading the rest through utorrent and to my great surprise it finished in a couple of days! since then i always stuck to utorrent!

well that was the first plan, but a lot of Private Trackers have eXx1l3d out-of-date versions......

utorrent.
iv'e never tried anything else but it's only recently I've discovered torrents. its so much better than p2p. (fewer speed restrictons from my isp, although it does require some skill finding torrents that people are still seeding)
utorrent was recommended to me by a friend of mine from iceland of all places. his dad has a very high up job in a telecoms company over there so he gets crazy fast (28 meg i think) broadband for free. He's what i would call a 'heavy' downloader.
