As I said, after extracting all the icons somewhere, try deleting all the BMP and MIG files (use command-line or just sort by filetype), before replacing them into the new RCO.

so i extract all the things from the clean rco right, then delete the migs and bmps? or do i do it to my custom one?

No, after extracting the icons from the RCO you wish to get the icons from (the "unclean" one), delete them at that point. Don't extract icons from the "clean" RCO.
